Unbeknownst to the humans about the SDF-1, the film was also being viewed by the nearby Zentraedi fleet. Commander Breetai, Exedore, and a number of the fleet's crew could not comprehend the purpose of the film, and eventually assumed it was an actual battle recording. Exedore goes so far as to assume that the power the Micronians possessed in the film was the reason they could develop the Pin-point Barrier Defense System. This remark prompted Breetai to insist showing the film to Supreme Commander Dolza. These events would later culminate in the eventual destruction of humanity on Earth.
The film was considered a classic, and was regular screened in local theaters during the Reconstruction Era.
- The film was first seen in Episode 21: A New Dawn of Robotech: The Macross Saga.
- The film was originally named Shao Pai Long or Little White Dragon in the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross, and was named after the song by the same name, sung by Mari Iijima, the original singing voice and voice actor for Lynn Minmay.
